So twas that we went to Kinugawa Onsen. Trip away from the big smoke for me and the missus. Upto the mountains we did go, But I'm getting ahead of my self because before that there was the English girl with the Portuguese father and the excess supply of Indian Boyfriends. Excess in that she had one more than one. Which is always a tricky sticky quogmire. So she came round to our house the evening before and told ud all about it, and also about Jumping from planes in New Zealand. The latter sounds worth a try but I think I will aviod having multiple Indian boyfs, especially with the Mothers-In-law some of them come with. Famously possesive they can be.
Anyway I'm digressing. Mori offers me Tea, and of course I say yes, nod the head and now I will tell you about the Monkey, mountains, Long johns and the whole tale infact. The Long Johns (Jockeypants/tights hybrid) look mighty daft but are mighty warm, and combined with my Bright Blue Puffer (hear after referred to as BBP) I remained toasty whilst all around was snow and blow and bloody nippy, cold as it is up in the mountains to the North were it was we went by electrified railway. Managed to fit in three hotbaths, as thats the general focus of the place. Lovely they are, especially when combined with the cold in short burst. Warm your self to boiling point, then go outside, in your birthday suit, and stand a while in the blow snow freezingness. Then when the cold starts to bite back to the luxuriant hot hot water.
I'm a telling ya, thats one bloody good thing you can do on a Saturday night. Better than eating the food which highlighted that our hotel was the cheapest one the brochure offered. Still it was just eat-able and washed down with a few bears comfort belly was reached.
Next day we woke at some silly time in order to get the breakfast we'd paid for, which was better than the dinner. Which is something. After that we wandered around in the snow and then went in a cable car to the top of the mountain. Crisp clear day and the view from the top was super and we liked it alot we did. Yes. Along with fine view the Top of the mountain was also laden with a temple and a load of Monkeys. Many Photos were taken of the both of them. Not sure why they decided to but a small monkey/dear zoo on the top of a mountain but it was interesting to watch the hairy faced primates feed apples to the monkeys.
After that we returned back back back home and now I will lie down and sleep and dream of Shops staffed by Monkey vheaded dear, selling pants made in India.
Joy.
