The next morning, Cam Ly wake up with a very big smile on her face, for some reason she feels really happy. The thought go through her head:
“Ummmm…He said he’s goinna come today and we could hang in the tree house then go to the movies…. ehehehe… He is so cute…I bet Minh Tuyet will be sooooo mad at me if I told her I meet this really cute guy…Oh hey…What is wrong with me, Why am I thinking about him too much…. This is not good…or is it good? Erh… I really don’t know…but I am sure that he is cute and very nice too…”
Soon Cam Ly heard the door knock, then come her mother’s voice:
“Cam Ly dear, are you ready? Your friend is here”
“Yeah I am coming mom”
Cam Ly walks out and her mother was in shock;
“Huh? YOU CAN’T WEAR THAT DEAR….”
“Why not mom?”
“Because you are goin out with Mr. Pham’s Son and you can’t wear that to go with him”
“Why not?”
“Oh stop asking and go inside and change for my sake please”
“Mother, I am only goin to the tree house with him and then to the movies, you don’t expect me to wear some thing really formal do you?”
“No dear, but at least wear something that is suitable for a lady to wear, you can’t wear short jeans and a singled like that dear.”
“Why not mom….It hot out side”
“Then you can go in there and change to a short dress”
“But mom, he will look up when I claim up the tree house”
“Well then don’t go to the tree house”
“MOM….I am OK like this…really I am”
“I am calling your father, see what he have to say about this darling daughter of his”
As Cam Ly’s mom turn her back, she found her self facing Dan Truong, he was on his way up to Cam Ly’s room because he heard argument.
“Oh, Dan Truong… Why don’t you stay down stare”?
“Oh… I just heard some argument and I was just wondering what is wrong?”
“Oh no nothing, it just this dear daughter of mind does not want to wear a dress.”
“Oh….’
His eyes were looking at Cam Ly in her cute short jean and the white singlet. The truth is, he prefer her to wear what she has on right now, she looks sooooo cute in it. So he said:
“Oh, she look beautiful just as she is.”
“What do you mean?”
“Oh, aunty Tran, she does not needs to change, beside it really hot out side”
“Oh, Ok…. Well then you can you now kids… But are you going to be back for dinner”
Cam Ly was happy that Dan Truong comes to save her day. As soon as her mom give permission to go, she waist no time, take Dan Truong’s hand and ran. As her mom’s voice fade behind. Mrs. Tran just shake her head for her tomboy daughter, she does not understand some time where does her daughter get all the naughty things from and learn nothing from her, because Mrs Tran was a very sophisticated woman when she was young.
