Thank you Phillip for being so courageous and for speaking up. Not many UBF dropouts care to warn and help current and potential future members, though I think it is a matter of course and Christian ethics that if you experienced something bad, you help others to not experience the same, in one way or the other. But many are just happy to have saved their own skin, want to forget the traumatic experience completely and never talk about it again. Many dropouts are also psychologically very unstable and unsecure and reluctant to challenge anybody, but have a tendency to be submissive and dependent from others, because a high percentage of UBF members has these personal characteristics; UBF is a catchment basin for such people.

I also thank God that He helped you and preserved your faith. Like you, nearly all of us dropouts do not hate UBF members though it is constantly brought forward against us. We only hate their cult mind control practices. If UBF had wanted to, they could have ended the whole mess during the 2000 reform movement. But they decided to reject reform and stay a cult and deny the existence of any problems. Since they decided to stay a cult, we decided to continue warning of them.

May God bless your future life of faith and your marriage.

Chris
