By the way, it should be also reminded of that many shephards of UBF does not behave like that.
They just only and truly do something for Jesus and their sheep. I came to have a strong hold of this kind of oppositonal view and I think my thought is valid from many discussions with UBFers and observations.

Well, the average UBF shepherd can not be compared to UBF leaders.
The average shepherd has no clue (or conscuiously denies) anything wrong with the UBF system, they think their service to UBF is service to Christ and the Church. They usually don't realize that they're feeding powermongers in their desire to increase their influence.

Yet, the average UBFShepherd "obeys the direction" of the leaders, when the leaders tell the shepherd to drop a sheep, they do - when the leaders tell the shepherd to lovebomb, they to, etc.
So, to make matters worse, the UBFLeaders invest very little other than giving orders to their subservenient flock, and in return for that they desire to reap lifelong servitude and eternal gratitude from those whom the shepherds care for.

It's a typical pattern in UBF Bonn (I don't know about the other UBFs) that a shepherd is only the initial step to get people into UBF. When a certain amount of trust and friendship has been established, Chang will start to create a relationship with him (as, it should be noted, should not be abnormal for any Christian leader regardless of UBF affiliation) to the point (this is where it starts to get improper) where the "sheep" start to realize that they owe much more to Chang, the one who gave all the "directions" and who allegedly prayed so much and cares so much etc - than they owe to the "shepherd" (who did all the work and sacrificed so much), and of course, Jesus is just a toy in the equation, since Jesus is no longer the goal, but the goodie which the UBFLeader has given to the sheep for which they must be thankful.

The UBF Calculation is:
- Lovebombing by devout, usually sincere, shepherds to get the sheep attracted
- "bring them to Jesus", the ultimate goodie.
- Since they received care in this life, they need to repay care in this life.
- Since they received something eternal (Jesus), they need to be eternally thankful.

So, a few years worth of lovebombing and Bible Study, and there's a lifelong repayment and eternal gratitude (towards men, not God!) due.
Figures like 1 compared to infinity.

PECAS is totally right that the expectation of UBFLeaders far exceeds the investment they made.
A good Christian should not expect ANYTHING in return for their deeds, but UBFLeaders will go ranting for hours every month about how they were exploited by "ungrateful sheep".
