Subject: Brainwashing reduced to social or religous minorities

To answer another question of you: And why should brainwashing be reduced to social or religous minorities?

The first question, about minorities. If a majority group, like the Protestant church or Catholic church had used such abuse on me, I would also call it brainwashing. But neither my pastor in the church nor the pope nor anybody else excerted such a pressure on me, manipulated me or intruted into my private decisions like marriage in such a way as the minority group UBF does. In the Islamic world, it might be an issue for the majority as well. And 60 years ago, it was a majority issue as well in Germany, concerning political/ideological brainwashing.

The second question is what's the difference between political or commercial brainwashing and spiritual brainwashing.

Spiritual brainwashing is much more powerful and harmful. Just as physical brainwashing may play with the fear of physical pain or death, spiritual brainwashing plays with the fear of spiritual pain or death. Coca-Cola cannot manipulate you so deeply since you don't have to fear that you lose eternal salvation or meaning of your life if you drink Pepsi.

Also, it's about the problem of truth. I don't mind if Coca-Cola brainwashes people to drink their products. This will not make them lose their eternal lifes probably. However I do mind if Moon makes people believe he is the Messiah, because this may affect their eternal salvation.

Brainwashing also leads to spiritual abuse, real hurt and pain of the soul. Commercial brainwashing normally doesn't.

These are some reasons why cult mind control is so dangerous, while we don't make such a fuzz about other kinds of "daily" brainwashing.
