Mike, you misunderstood Daniel completely. He would be the last to throw in UBF propaganda; he just wanted to explain why this idea was so attrative and eagerly absorbed by the UBF Koreans. They and many Koreans had indeed an inferiority complex. Samuel Lee told them how to turn their thinking upside down and make a superiority complex out of the inferiority complex. The idea was: "Yes, we (Koreans) were conquered by many nations, but now we Koreans conquer all other nations with the Bible." He wrote about this in many of his letters. They enjoy the idea that thy can turn the tables and Americans have to obey them and be thankful to them inside of UBF. But Daniel is right, I think deep inside they still believe they (Koreans) are inferior and it is only a way to compensate their inferiority complex. They may look down on non-white people, but not on Americans or Germans. Also, I don't think they hate Americans. Again, if it looks like that, I think it's only a compensation of an inferiority complex or envy of America as a super power. Why do you think Samuel Lee went to America? Samuel Lee was obsessed with power. America was fascinating for him because it is a super power nation. Lee would never have gone to a small, insignificant or poor nation.
