Although I explained to Brian about my bad experience in the Toledo UBF, Brian has not publically sought to give any recognition of harmful behaviours in his ministry and has even suggested that "victims" are possibly culpible themselves. This really hurts and is to some degree slanderous.

It seems strange now that I thought that this was unique to my church. I've heard in my life that people left the church because they "weren't spritual" or "they didn't read and pray everyday" or "they just couldn't move on". All of these things blame the victim.

I've heard from all kinds of former ICC people that they are called bitter because they are still hurting years after they left. There is a superficial acknowledgement of the wrongs and then a demand for forgiveness.
