>hahahaha. I liked your conclusion =) Funny thing is
>why don't you do the same thing?

For most of my life, I thought as you do now. So I have followed my own advise and am now "thinking different."

>I have been thinking
>differently--why do you think I keep writing back to
>you?

Uh, no. I meant "think different!" from your 30-year predecessors in UBF including the one whom you think made UBF so "wack." He made UBF so "wack," yet you don't know how close your mentality is to his. He used the same tactics to defend UBF that you use. For instance, I wanted you to provide more justification for your claims that UBF has changed, and in response you want to cease communication and change the subject to ...

>I don't like want to change your views or make
>you come back to UBF or make you like UBF. THe thing
>is it seems as if this is what you are committed to
>everyday. Is this enhancing your relationship with
>Christ?

... me. Here's some advice, take it or leave it: Hold the truth more important than your spiritual comfort level ("enhancing your relationship with Christ"). All you need to know about me is that I am quite secure in my relationship with Christ and his promise of salvation. I am in good health, mentally and physically. I love my wife and kids and they love me. I have not gotten into a serious car accident since leaving UBF that left "only my head alive," forcing me to type this with a stylus held between my teeth.

I have a hard time caring whether UBF changes. I realized, based on the evidence I have, that the claims of change are greatly exaggerated. So to put some kind of hope in it changing in the near future I realized was a losing game. It was a challenge to do, but I think I no longer tie my hope and happiness to this organization ever changing; some call this trying to have healthy boundaries.

>Dr. Joe, i think its useless for me to try to make
>you think differently and so that's not what I'm
>trying to do. I shouldn't have tried to argue either
>because nothing I write will shed any light nor will
>it help you. Therefore, I am wasting my time. If I
>answer to the best of my ability,

Most of my questions aren't that difficult. I and other people wanted a clarification of why JD was on the outs with some UBF parents and kids.

I wanted specifics on what changes had been made. You made a statement implying that arranged marriage was no longer practiced (easily disproven), while defending the practice at the same time.

>you will find faults
>with my replies and come back at me with them, and
>then I will find faults with your replies and come at
>you with them in the same fashion. Both of us will
>remain at stalemate.

I am content knowing that reasonable people (like the NAE) who might happen to read the back-and-forth between us and UBF defenders will see that it is no stalemate.

May you work to make UBF less "wack."
