Maybe not fast enough for some of you, but an organization this size cannot change in a day.

Change may need some time, but repentance can happen in one day. Reform may take some time, but it can only start on one day when the leaders openly declare they WANT reform. I take no stock in a slow, sneaking or creeping reform. That may be an option in politics, but not in the church. In the church, if a sin or unbiblical practices and teaches are recognized, they need to be repented.

In the case of UBF, we speak about gross sins of the leadership like forced abortions or misappropriation of money. How should a Christian deal with sins? Slowly change? Or repent and stop sinning immediately? (You may fail and backslide, but that's a different problem. It is about the principle, the attitude of your heart.)

If a person hurt my feelings I wouldn't sit around and wait to take some more of the bad treatment.

So you blame the victims that they endured so much from people like Samuel Lee. But you know very well that Samuel Lee used mind control to make these people believe he is the visible representant of God for them, the "servant of God" and if they fail to obey, they will experience accidents or go to hell. Not submitting was not an option for his victims, because they had been indoctrinated to believe he is God and that his training is "divine" discipline. You know it very well. Don't blame the victims of this authority abuse of being obedient.

All the time in UBF we had been told we needed to be absolutely obedient, we needed to observe the "spiritual order" and we needed to obey their commands even if we do not understand. But in the end, if people are abused in such an environment, you even blame them for being so silly and believing all the stuff. That's what I think is a very disgusting stance of UBFers.
