Just again for clarification. When Anonymous wrote that he hated UBF, he meant that he hated the abuse that is going on in UBF and the whole system that promotes such abuse. I am sure he does not hate UBF members like you (Anonymous, please correct me if I am wrong).

There is a verse in Rev 2 where Jesus complains about the church in Ephesus that they have forsaken their first love. However, he said, he saw a good point the in Ephesian church, too. Let me quote: But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. When UBF dropouts say they hate UBF, they usually mean that they hate the practices of the UBF leaders. And it is sign of spiritual health and maturity to hate such evil and unbiblical practices, and a sign of immaturity and even sinful to tolerate such practices in your own church when you are aware of them.

By the way, concerning the word "Nicolaitians", I will quote the following I found in the Internet: "The term 'Nicolaitians' is derived from two greek words... 'Nikos' and 'Laos'. Nikos is defined as: a conquest; victory; triumph; to conquer; and by implication, dominancy over the defeated. The word 'nicao' literally means: to dominate-intimidate-manipulate. Additionally, the term 'laos' means 'the people' or the 'laity.' Thus exacting the phrase 'to conquer (dominate-intimidate-manipulate) the people (laity).'" It seems to me that the practices of the Nicolaitians were very similar to the practices of UBF leaders.
