They seem pretty desperate for numbers, which is typical.

Robert, did Zun even bring up the subject of your being summarily expelled without so much as a hearing?

A former member of the Arlington UBF may have been in a similar position. He brought it up here at http://www.voy.com/60734/6/7739.html.

UBF would love to bring people back in at any opportunity, with the possible exception of a few people who actively oppose them. To this day, there are people who claim to be "praying for me." Whenever they meet you, they will never neglect to invite you to their Sunday meeting. To UBF, those who left are wandering like prodigals. It would not surprise me if the Cinti UBF people saw you as just such a prodigal. Your showing up at their Sunday meeting would probably generate some buzz because to them it would be like a prodigal son returning. In fact, someone's "coming back" to UBF is the greatest joy for many in UBF; I've seen this happen with two or three people who reentered UBF. This is because in their eyes, someone "coming back" validates and vindicates UBF; they were right, you were wrong (they may not say that to your face, but that's what's in their minds). Don't give them the satisfaction. That's my advise.
