Sarah Barry's comment to the woman BJ knows is NOT uncommon. Back in the '70's and '80's, Sarah Barry was comlimented in the same exact phrasing as this woman stated in 2004. Sarah Barry's response was VERBATIUM!!!

I can testify to this, because I, myself, had also made the same comment to her, and received the same response.

At the time, I was so consumed by UBF and my foolish belief that Sarah Barry was close to Sainthood, that her response to my statement only enhanced my ignorant opinion.

Sarah Barry does have a bit of a vain streak. She outwardly tries to control it, by outwardly downplaying adoration.

The truth is, that if Sarah Barry were really sincere in her belief of not being so great, she would have stood in front of the UBF congregation and repented of her own SERIOUS idolatry issue. Sarah Barry worshiped Samuel Lee and the trappings and security he created for her.

Sarah Barry has promoted and tolerated her own personal adoration following within UBF, because it has allowed her to remain unaccountable for her own actions.

BJ, I know you see some good points about UBF...the outward humbleness, the smiles, the fellowship....

I pray that for your own sake, you will find the spiritual strength within you to literally take up your mat and your family and walk away from UBF altogether. You simply cannot understand how unBiblical UBF is, until after you walk (or run) far away.
