I had the misfortune of crossing paths with this person many times, and the bottom line is that he is a manipulative and abusive person. As just one example; Vuce was the director of the Christmas drama. His first decision was to bring a paddle and have the drama victims paddle each other ten times. I was paddled by a another former member, it was painful. It was much more humiliating. This is just one small incident, there are so many examples that prove Mark Vuce is a very abusive person.

Years later, several times I approached him and let him know that I was expecting an apology from him for this and other abuses he perpetrated on me. He refused, he just locked up like a computer that doesn't operate anymore. His face and voice, which were very animated and artificial, suddenly lost all expressions and words wouldn't come out of his mouth. He was stuck like this for fifteen seconds or so and then chaged the subject, asserting his righteousness that he was serving God and obeying God's servant. I share this story as a response to hard core ubfins who say that those who expose them are bound by personal disputes. I am not bound, they are bound. (In my upcoming testimony about life in ubf, there will be a section devoted to this abusive person. I am waiting for the ubfdivorce to be finalized before publishing the stories.)

I know many other stories of abuse by this man, including making his wife cry hysterically in public at the DePaul campus. I also know that he is a miserable failure as a ubf fulltime staff. He recruited only one person in more than 20 years as a fulltime worker for ubf. The chapter he 'leads' at DePaul, which is officialy banned by DePaul from setting foot on the campus, has not grown at all in the last 16 years or so.

The physical abuse at ubf has been reduced, thanks in part to the timely death of EE Chang Woo. But there are so many other kinds of abuse, and the ubf tries to cover it up rather than repent their abuses.
