Do you know what one of the most important things for the Protestant reformation was? It was Gutenberg's Invention of the printing press. For the first time, people were informed about the wrong doctrines of the Catholic Church and able to read the Bible on their own. More than one scholar has argued that, without the printing press, Luther's challenge to the Church hierarchy would probably have failed to reach a broad audience and would have remained a local event. What the printing press was for the Catholic church, that is the Internet for UBF. I had been 10 years in UBF, when there was no Internet. If I had know all these things before, I probably would have left UBF much early. UBF benefits a lot from the fact that people are not informed. This is true even today. Many members don't know that these websites exist, or they are so indoctrinated that they are full of demons and lies that they won't read them. Or they don't have access to Internet or it's difficult for them to read English. This is particularly a problem in the countries of the CIS or South America.

"Information is the key." In UBF, the information flow goes always from the bottom to the top. Sheep tell their problems to the shepherds, shepherds to the leaders, and so on. The lower levels know nearly nothing about UBF. The leaders know everything. They know much better about all the grievances and abuses.

In authoritarian organization, people tend to believe that the top echelon does not know about the problems. That's nonsense. They are always pretty well informed about the grievances, and usually even the actual origin of the whole mess. In Germany, in the 3rd Reich, when people heared the rumours about murdered Jews, there was a saying "If the Fuehrer would know that..." They simply could not imagine that the Fuehrer was the one who actually machinated this all. Do you believe that the top leaders don't know about the abortions, the misappropriation of money and so on? They know pretty well, and they were accomplices of Samuel Lee from the beginning.
