Identity and philosophical differences: The ICOC name is a useful handle to describe who we are and what we are about. One-another relationships and a commitment to evangelism are what make us distinct.

Hey, that's the same as in UBF. They say that "1:1 bible study" and "absolute obedience to Jesus’ world mission command" and "spiritual order" (code word for authoritarism) is the UBF "tradition" or the "spiritual heritage." And because of this tradition, they believe to be the only "real" Christians in the world. They expelled the reformers not for Biblical reasons, but because they allegedly left the "UBF tradition."

By the way, "One-another relationships" has become the new code word for discipleship partners. It's like no one can let go of the discipling ministry that created this mess, so they come up with a euphemism for discipling.

Didn't ICC already change the word "discipler" to "discipleship partner" in order to conceal the hierarchical aspect of the relation?

This is explained by saying that we still need to fulfill the "one another" passages

What where these "one another" passages? In UBF, they used the passages that spoke about shepherds. They did not care whether these passages spoke about Jesus, the good shepherd, or whether they spoke about elders, overseeing the whole flock. They just misapplied these passages to their paradigm of "1:1 shepherds" without caring to give justification for 1:1 from the Bible.
