You haven't told us what chapter you are in. You can read my story here.

>SO my
>question is this, if you do not accept my sincere
>apology on behalf of my brothers,

How are you in a position to apologize for them, especially for the current leaders who took active parts in spiritual abuse or just stood by and let it happen?

>why dont you write
>down an exhaustive list of the people whom you would
>like to see repent for specific sins and grievances
>against you?

This is unnecessary. Just go to the top and talk to Sarah Barry about the specific sins and grievances that she has refused to address in the past. Any acknowledgment of problems, repentence and apology has to come from the top to have any real meaning. Unfortunately, even the National Association of Evangelicals' polite questions were met with a stony silence from Barry and other UBF leaders, so I don't know how much better you will fare. Please let us know how it goes.

>Of course, each [current UBF leaders] may have committed terrible
>sins, but what is your measure of repentance

If everything that has been written about their complicity and participation in horrendous spiritual abuses is true, then what is your measure of repentence for them? What would be just in your eyes?

>, would
>you like them to call you? WOuld you like them to stop
>one to one Bible study? Would you like them to stop
>being authoritarian? And if so, how would you know if
>they had?

The example of Henry Kriete would be a good template for the current UBF leaders or even just one of them with sufficient courage and unseared conscience.

I've said it before: Even a simple short letter from Sam Lee or Sarah Barry with even a qualified apology like, "If we have hurt you, we sincerely apologize" would have put out a lot of fires and been satisfactory to many former members. But they cannot even do a simple thing like that. It's much more important to them to save face, even the face of a dead man.
