Subject: The problem with UBF is more complex
In reply to: A Christian Man 's message, "Re: I have been meaning to write" on 11:35:11 11/25/04 Thu

Dear Christian Man,

>UBF like this, there is no accountability.

You are correct, this is a problem in UBF. It is just one of a slew of problems that UBF has. A good start at explaining them can be found at ubf-info.de under "Basic Problems of UBF."

You seem to be side-stepping the issue that UBF is a mind-control organization. They engage in rampant spiritual and emotional abuse. How can such an organization be made into a useful part of the body of Christ?

Your best bet is to cut your losses with UBF. You don't need them. Go to a seminary and get proper training and God will lead you. You mention that your Korean "Bible teacher" is truly a "man of God." I would like to caution you. UBF leaders are wolves in sheep's clothing. I thought that my UBF "shepherd" was a very devoted man of God, but that he was just overbearing and authoritarian and a tad narcissistic. Well, more than a tad. After leaving UBF, I had time to put things in proper perspective and I saw that this man is truly evil. I do not say this lightly. This man pretends to be an evangelist. What he really does is prey on vulnerable people and bring them under his control to gratify his need for a sense of power and a sense of being a "great servant of God." He had no desire to help me spiritually. He wanted me to become his blind servant.

From my experience of what UBF leaders are like, I would caution you to be suspicious of this man you have befriended. He may have deceived you into believing he is a man of God when he is really out to prey on you. UBF leaders are masters of deception, and they all model themselves after Sam Lee, who is the wolf in sheep's clothing par excellence.

Really, don't deceive yourself that UBF is a Christian organization. It's not that at all. It is a cult group that co-opts and corrupts the Christian message for its own purposes. This is a well-demonstrated fact.

Best of luck with your spiritual journey,

-- Anonymous ex-UBFer
