Dear "JIM";

Perhaps you are correct that when you read posts from this discussion board you feel "condemnation". The term alone was used quite heavily when I was a UBF member.

Please try to remember that the purpose of this board (as other former members and the web servant might concur) is to report the FACTS and support UBF members who may want to leave UBF.

The board is also here to promote dialog between current and former members.

As a former member I can tell you this - Sarah Barry has been given ample opportunity to fall at the foot of the cross and seek forgivness for her sins of greed and manipulation of the WORD OF GOD. She has chosen to ignore all requests by former members to discuss very direct issues.

It is NOT the intent of any former member to condem another human being. The intent was to request REPENTANCE, so that mercy and forgivness could begin to promote healing from the past to the present.

But, Sarah Barry, as well as other current UBF leader's have chosen to ignore grave sins including murder. No one here has a right to condem the sinner, but we would be neglegent as Christians, if we did not rebuke these sins. The acts committed by Sarah Barry, the late Samuel C. Lee and other UBF leader's can be proven, and have been.

In my humble opinion, one of the greatest sins, has been the neglect of the first generation to TELL THE TRUTH to the second generation of "missionary" kids. The TRUTH hurts. But the FACT is that the TRUTH has been laid out clearly, on this web site, so that by the MERCY of JESUS CHRIST even 1 person can be spared the heartache that thousands worldwide endured already.

Remember that the TRUTH DOES NOT dwell only within the confines of UBF houses. The truth is with all of us who walked away from years of deception, manipulation and abuse. Based on what I have seen from the MSU conference footage, most of the names have changed, but the lies and the twisting of GOD's WORD continues. I have boxes of old UBF material. The words I heard from that conference footage have not changed in almost 30 years. It is fresh to the young people hearing it now, but it will become old soon.

I want to leave you with this thought. How can members of UBF consider themselves to be Christians when they follow the leadership of those who have commited such dark sins???In my thinking, it is like following the golden calf. The sinners will not repent. They vomit out words of condemnation about former members. They NEVER have the courage to stand out in the open and simply say "I" am sorry. Please forgive me. I have never heard this except from the late Jimmy Rhee (I knew him and believe me he was a highly regarded UBF member and a good, honest man.)He was a true man of courage!!! He confessed his sins before former members (in the form of a letter) and he confessed his sins at the foot of the cross. VERY SIMPLE. VERY TRUE.

The future of UBF is up to the second generation. If UBF is to remain as an organization it MUST be clean from the inside out. Please forgive me if I tell you, I am not going to hold my breath.
