Subject: We or them?

I would agree with this point. UBF is more like an army than a company. That is not so strange. Apostle Paul uses the image of soldiers, armor and spiritual warfare quite effectively. No one can deny that Christians are in a spiritual war, fighting the good fight of faith.

Well, did you ever consider Ephesians? How come you're not like a body instead?

Once I attended a Salvation Army worship service. Do you know what? The preacher and all leaders were dressed in army-like uniforms. They called each other "Lieutenant" and "Commander". Shouldn't you start a message board criticizing them?

We're not affiliated with them, and we can now only rely on hearsay. But maybe someone will criticize them, just like UBF is being criticized for using titles like "Shepherd" or "Missionary". But then again, there is no biblical commandment against military titles, though the title "shepherd" is EXPLICITLY forbidden. But UBF of course doesn't care when the Lord Jesus said "Do not be called Shepherd" because UBF knows the Bible better than Jesus, after all, Jesus was just a layman right?
Please forgive the cynicism.
Hierarchies do not befit any Christian church, but should Christians rather examine themselves or go pointing fingers elsewhere?
Even if you can name me a billion Christians who are doing something wrong, is that reason enough for you to also do it wrong? Is your conscience based upon the Holy Word or upon the people around you? Thank you.

In Christ,
Mike K.
