Brian, I cannot speak for Bob, but what I would like to see are the following:
Offer of reinstatement for excommunicated chapters.
A written constitution which gives members a bill of rights along with a mechanism for addressing physical, emotional, financial, & spiritual abuse along with a way of addressing un-Biblical teaching.
Impartial & sincere investigations of all allegations of abuse back to 1976.
Public rebuke of those responsible for the abuse & cover ups.
Public renunciation of forms of abuse deemed to have been inflicted upon members.
Apology and offers of help to those who were really abused.
In addition to these things, UBF should apologize to the members and chapters it excommunicated. It should also publically apologize to the directors who wrote the 1976 letter, James Kim & Peter Chang, along with the directors and members who asked that alledged abuse be addressed in 2000.
Brian, do you think these requests are too much to ask? If so, which ones and why?
