First, the Ph.D. degree that Samuel Lee received is a bogus one. It's a counterfeit degree that no accredited colleges and universities will recognize as genuine. Shall we call him Bogus Doctor Samuel Lee? Anyway, it's a kind of doctor, isn't it? He will like it.

Second, it tells us that he is one of the co-conspirators who were willing to abet such scams by their own perverted desires to get recognized as a doctor or get a job with higher salary. Any ordinary person with modicum of common sense should know that it would typically take 6 to 10 years of postgraduate work to earn a Ph.D. at an accredited school. Will you believe that some schools offer you a Ph.D. degree within 3 to 12 months? I am confident that these willing buyers are not naïve victims who were preyed by the "degree mill" purveyors. They obviously know that they are acquiring a questionable degree. I admit that there are some genuine victims who were fooled by the scam artists, though. But in Ph.D. cases, I am sure that 99.9999% of them are willing co-conspirators with degree mills which cater their desire for fame and name in exchange for money. Samuel Lee became a willing villain with them.

Third, he, as a religious leader, was willing to use a fraudulent means in receiving a doctorate. It tells what kind of man he is. There are no Christian honesty, credibility, and integrity in his shameful act of getting a degree from a degree mill. As the U.S. UBF Reform Confession states, while he teaches young people to go the way of truth and the way of the cross, he is seeking the lowest and laughable means to get a Ph.D. degree. What kind of legacy of faith will he inherit to them? When they will find out all the facts behind his reprehensible trickery, won't they be cynical about Christian truth and Christians?

I am deeply ashamed that certain Christians are operating these shady businesses only for money in the name of God and there are some willing Christian leaders who acquire such a bogus degree for whatever reasons. What kind of faith will they witness to the world and to their congregation?
