In response to a reader's inquiry, the Roving Reporter News Network has begun to obtain information about the 'Bible house' that has been utilized by the UBF branch at Rutgers University.

The property at 54 Ray Street, New Brunswick is not registered as being owned by the UBF. Rather, it is owned by several individuals, using their Korean names, not their UBF aliases. A copy of the purchase deed can be seen here

Simply copy the above link and paste to your address bar. You will be directed to a five page pruchase deed that contains alot of interesting information. The property does not presently have any mortgage on it, and was apparently purchased without any mortgage either. As seen in the deed, the purchase price was $247,500. This information was provided by the Middlesex County Clerk at 732-745-5006.

Also, another interesting fact is that the New Brunswick area is a rent control area, which in NJ is called rent leveling. The owners must declare their rents from time to time to determine whether they are in compliance with the local rent control ordinances. This procedure has been very recently cempleted by the owners, within the last two months. The house is zoned as a four unit rental property. The taxes are also current.

Have the owners been collecting rents on this property? If not, have they lied on their rent leveling declaration forms? Maybe someone should contact the rent leveling agency and inform them of the possible misrepresntations by these UBF 'missionary' cash-rich landlords.
