It is good to see that people are able to see through the fog banks created by people like John Trott, who are confused themselves and are able to confuse people. I am sure Mr. Trott also confused Annie Kang. People are always inclined to tell their story in a way they know their hearers like. I guess Annie knew what Mr. Trott wanted to hear or he put his words into her mouth.

to infer that all the former UBF people are confused why they left and they don’t have and consistent arguments against UBF. The opposite is really the case.

I would not say that the opposite is true, since many ex members are indeed confused about UBF after leaving (see another recent posting). They have seen a few of the dark spots, but not all, and they are not really educated in the Bible and theology, and they don't know about the mechanisms of cult mind controls, thus some are not able to bring the pieces together. However, you are completely right, this was not the case with Tim or John. They knew very well why they left and were also able to see the larger picture. Both were misportrayed in the article.

Those who were really confused obviously were Annie and Mr. Trott.
