I think your privacy was violated. Privacy violation is taken for granted in UBF. When I first wrote the long version of my life testimony in UBF I revealed some very private details and told my shepherd that I didn't want it to be revealed to others. He promised it wouldn't be. Then, later all kinds of missionaries and people from overseas told me how much they had been praying for me. I asked them how they knew about me and they said that my life testimony was copied and distributed to all the chapters.

That's just one incident. There were many more. It is funny that UBF leaders will reveal intimate details about sheep and their sins, but are loath to say anything about leaders' sins or even hint that they have any.

It is standard ethics that any type of counselor or pastor would not reveal such issues of their clients without permission. However, in UBF they are announced with impunity from the pulpit!
