Subject: I want my MTV or VH1?...mtv rant

Is it just me or does MTV totally just gone bad. I used to be able to tolerate some of the shows, but the boys upstairs obviously just want money. The show are directed towards pre-pubecent teens now, it's just not about the music. Speaking of music, do they even play music videos anymore? I know they have TRL but I'm talking about good music, like the video's they play on 120 minutes. I love how they make fun of boy bands with the show 2-gether, but aren't they just stabbing themselves in the back considering they are the ones who got all the little boy and girl bands popular by playing the videos 29 times a day. Don't people get sick of seeing the same bands on TRL? And Real World and Road Rules... how starved are those people for attention? I mean, if I stub my toe it hurts but I don't tell people I'm dying. It's because people like to watch that stuff, like Survivor, and Big Brother... they are all crap but people watch them so they are more popular than ever. Maybe if we were smart enough to realize that we can have control if we chose to raise above that crap, not watch it, and prove that we aren't a generation of followers? If this is what is to come from our generation I am ashamed.
