Just some comments:

I will certainly miss Tim Russert. I never really had the chance to watch him until this year. I was always attending Mass at the same time, and I never thought to record his show for watching later in the day. Boy, did that man Love his job! I'm glad that he was so well-remembered by all his friends in the news business. He deserved it, not only because he was so good at his job, but because he still remembered where he had come from and did not let his status make him forget his friends and family from Buffalo, New York. I also heard that he wasn't much for dinner parties-that he would rather be at a ball game with his son or be home having dinner with his wife. That's very rare in today's world.

I think William Kristol slipped up a bit this morning. I read at Huffingtonpost.com that he was on Fox News and said that Bush would probably invade Iran if Bush thinks Obama will win the presidency in November; because Bush Knows that McCain will invade Iran for sure, if he is elected president. That's part of Kristol's main goal--the Project for the New American Century (PNAC)--which, by the by, was originally approved by Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and JEB Bush. It's basically a frame work of how the Neo-Cons are going to take over the world and run it, using a "compassionate conservative" and "moral" agenda, like the Republican party. Yeah, right. If that's true, then I'm the queen of England. (By the by, if you Google the PNAC agenda, the main website is Closed, and there is a message to contact the account office. I found the PNAC website by using Wikipedia archives. So this Neo-Con dream deal is doing so well, but the official website can't even be paid for staying online any more???)

Well, the Repubs are at it again, telling everyone within earshot that mean old Obama is going to raise their taxes. What is it with this "raise taxes" thing? Who do they think is going to pay for all that their dear Bush has spent? Do they think that the National Debt will disappear with a wave of a magic wand? Do they think that the Iraqi OIL will pay the debt? What is their problem? So what if we pay more taxes? Isn't it better to pay a little more taxes and reduce the debt, than to let the millionaires keep their Bush tax cuts forever, while the rest of us pay more in "fees"? Fees are just another name for taxes; but when someone pays fees, it usually is the poor and middle class that get stuck with these fees. (Fees for everything from registering your car every year, for renewing your driver's license every year, for higher state sales taxes because of increased fees, etc...) Do you think the rich have to pay a lot of fees? Nope, it's us Common Folk that have to end up paying all these fees. So, there you have it--the Republican way of paying for things--the rich get the tax cuts, and the rest of us get higher "fees" for everything. Most Repubs are such Hypocrites!

Well, I'm saving TONS of money by living with my cousin during the week and just coming home on weekends. I do miss my husband so much, though. (Tomorrow it will be 6 months since we were married--I just LOVE being married. I want this marriage to be until "death do us part" and I believe it will). I figured I've been saving AT LEAST $75 per week in gasoline costs, with not having to drive 45 miles one way (90 miles round trip) each work day. That means that I have more in my pocket to pay for bills and food. I've also noticed that there are less cars on the road and More people taking the bus. It gets crowded, and I sometimes have to stand for the bus ride from work (my cousin usually takes me to work in the mornings since his job is nearby, but he gets off work after I do, so I take the bus to get to his home), but the monthly bus pass is only $25 and I can go all over San Antonio on any bus I want for the whole month. Not a bad deal. BUT there are still those dorks out there, driving their SUVs and cars, looking sad when they come out of the gas stations after being sucker-punched into paying gobs of money to fill up the tank. I don't feel sorry for them--they have enough money to live in the suburbs, they can afford to pay for the gas, or they can get smart and either carpool or take the bus.

Well, that's about it from here. I hope that NO TROLLS come back here--there's enough of them already in the world and Dukie doesn't need any coming here to try and take over the board again.

Love,
Mercedes
