Sorry Tommy, but my husband says that people are so fed up with the Republicans that they will vote for Obama just to have a change. He said if McCain was serious about winning and wanted a woman 'veep', he should have picked Kay Bailey Hutchinson. I may not agree with her on most of her ideas, but she is an experienced US Senator who would have been a good sparring partner with Joe Biden. People are not going to waste their vote by picking this broad and old man. So you think that McCain checked everything about her? Well, from what I've been reading, little Ms. Sarah 'Barracuda' has a lot more secrets that will be exposed.
Oh, and I love the hypocrisy of how the Republicans are running around, making sure they get everyone out of New Orleans before Gustav hits. I wonder what the people who were abandoned during Katrina think about that. And the Republicans are even canceling the first day of their convention!?! I think they would have canceled it anyway because NO ONE wants to hear from Bush and Cheney anymore.
Oh, and I guess McCain can't 'rip into' Obama about his inexperience, since McCain's own running mate doesn't know squat about foreign policy, unless, of course, you count Cindy McCain's very dimbulb statement that Alaska is thisclose to Russia, so Ms. Sarah is experienced with foreign policy. Come on, Tommy! Think about what will happen if your party gets nominated--4 more years of Iraq, 4 more years of tax cuts to the rich, 4 more years of trying to finish the job Bush is leaving of shredding our US Constitution, 4 more years of secret prisons and Gitmo, 4 more years of jobs being sent overseas, 4 more years of foreclosures (you do know McCain says he doesn't want to help the average person save their home because they shouldn't have bought a home with a variable rate in the first place), 4 more years of trying to kill every living thing in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and off our shores, instead of using common sense of Making people learn to conserve gasoline by rationing, while alternative fuels are being processed. (I bet Ms. Sarah has first dibs in ANWR, on shooting all the polar bears, arctic foxes, rabbits, moose (especially MOOSE!) until every last one is dead and she can put their skins and fur on her 'veep' trophy wall). And don't forget--McCain wants to bomb Iran and won't rule out using the DRAFT!
Sorry, but anyone who wants 4 more years of this crappola should have his/her head examined by a competent psychiatrist, because you are just being a glutton for punishment, and are definitely not being a 'compassionate conservative' or a True follower of Jesus.
