I hope everyone is enjoying today and every day on God's earth.
About Hillary. I would only hope that after Barack gets to the magic number of 2025 pledged delegates that the leaders of the Democratic party sit Hillary down and tell her "okay, Barack has proven he can get the votes and delegates. Now it's time for you to relax, sit back, and cheer on our candidate for November. You've run a good campaign, but the PEOPLE have spoken and they have chosen Barack."
Of course, this won't happen, but I am sure that there are enough people out there who WERE Hillary supporters but have changed their minds because of her nasty campaign. I know she thinks that she should be handed the nomination on a silver platter, but she has done this to herself by having a smear campaign against Barack and a sense of "hey, it's MY turn to be president". Ever since 1988, TWENTY YEARS!!!, there's been a Bush, Clinton, and Bushie. Now it's time for someone else to get in the game, someone fresh and new, and who is energizing the young people into action--Barack Obama. After all, it's the young people who will be the future of our country and it's their right and priviledge to finally have a say in the running of our country.
Plus, Hillary is making a BIG mistake by bringing up race. I know at least three people at my work, including my boss, who were campaigning for Hillary, but when she started in on that Rev. Wright baloney and then started saying that she's got the back of more diverse groups, including the "blue collar" WHITE people, then she struck a nerve and she lost quite a few supporters. She knows better than to play the race card and it will end up being one of the many reasons why she is not the nominee.
Many of you don't like me or like what I write, but, I am doing this because there is too much at stake in the future of this country. McCain = four more years of Bush's policies: for the Rich, by the Rich, and the heck with everyone else, and keep on killing our beloved soldiers and stay in Iraq, bomb Iran and control the Middle East OIL. Hillary = me, me, me, I'm Hillary and I DESERVE to be president because it's time for another Clinton in the White House and I am a WHITE woman. Barack = a chance for this country to get back to basics and that ordinary, everyday PEOPLE are given back the right to LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS.
Love,
Mercedes
