Subject: The way I see it is: if everyone said "F*** 'em" and drove MUCH LESS (with carpooling) the price of gas would start to drop.

In reply to: Hillary got it right! 's message, "Drop the damned gasoline tax, not for the summer but for the rest of the year. People cannot afford to make ends meet. If the price of gas continues to spiral, there will soon be riots." on Sat, May 17, 2008 12:49:14

Don't tell me NONE of you can carpool or take fewer unnecessary trips!

Maybe there should be a protest march somewhere (Washington?) but I am not sure what good that will do.

All I know is that this appears to be TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL.

And the oil companies do NOT need to make the profits they are making.

If this keeps up then we are going to have a crisis of MONUMENTAL PROPORTIONS, rampant with crime the likes of which we have never seen.

People have to eat to survive. And they need MONEY to be able to eat. If people can't eat, they have to find ways to survive.

The insipid Bush administration couldn't care less of course. It will not longer be on his watch.

The thought of what MIGHT happen just makes me sick.

Not to worry: gas prices will spike, then fall (but admittedly not much)Opti MysticSat, May 17, 2008 7:50:32
