Why are some of you getting so fearful at this stage in the race? You know that all that baloney about Barack being for Louis Farrakhan and liking Hezbollah, is just the Repubs trying to create FEAR and MISTRUST with people.
This is what Politics is all about--take out your opponent by making him/her look like an unworthy bastard, but make yourself look like a saint. I could care less what Bush or McCain have to say about Barack.
What I want to know is: Who is the BEST candidate that will stop this insanity in the Middle East? Who is willing to even HAVE any type of talks with our enemies, instead of pretending if we don't talk, then they will go away. Who IS the best candidate--Barack Obama!
With Bush starting all this craziness in the first place, can you blame the world for hating us? Can you blame US citizens for wanting change? Can you blame me for wanting the Republican party to go down the tubes?
Ever since 1994 the Repubs were in charge of Congress, up until 2006. Look back at everything that has happened because of this, including all the new policies and laws that were approved during this time: Bush's Invasion of Iraq; the OIL companies slowly raking in RECORD profits; the KBR and Blackwater scandals with no one being held responsible for the needless deaths of Innocent Iraqis; the tax breaks for the rich; the cuts in Social programs; the mortgage crisis, due to the mortgage companies being allowed to "fleece" US home buyers by the Adjusted Variable Rates scam; the stupid "wall of hate" being built along the southern border, with Chertoff being able to bypass every environmental and imminent domain law because the Repub majority gave him power to do so in 2005; the Patriot Act,which basically says "if you're not with us, you're against us, so we have the right to spy on you, your home, your friends, your family, your bankbook, your doctor's records, etc; the Homeland Security Act, that promises to spy on "terrorists" overseas and to inspect imports from other countries (yeah, like letting in TONS of lead products from China)for our "safety"; the loss of Habeus Corpus, that basically leaves ANYONE of us subject to being arrested, not being allowed an attorney, and NOT being allowed to even know why we are being arrested; the TRILLIONS of dollars wasted by corrupt, hand-picked companies that are supposed to be "rebuilding" Iraq, using cheap materials and doing shoddy work, so that so many buildings that are only a few years old are being condemned and deemed UNSAFE; the HORRIBLE treatment of our beloved US soldiers, being made to keep enlisted, even after they have done their time (stop-loss)and coming back to filthy and dangerous buildings (ala Walter Reed)to begin recovery and healing, ONLY to be sent back before they are physically and mentally ready for another tour of duty; and the EVIL murders committed against the Innocent Iraqi citizens--men, women and children who have done us NO HARM, but who are being killed every day because Bush wanted to invade Iraq, kill Hussein, then take the Iraqi OIL for him and his OIL buddies.
So, don't be afraid of what anyone says about Barack--it's only the last resort of losers to throw anything out there to see if anyone is gullible enough to believe it, then spread the gossip around so that pretty soon a LIE is being seen as TRUTH. Barack is our ONLY hope (and he is inspiring the YOUNG to become involved in decisions like no one has before--excluding JFK and Bobby Kennedy--both who had the right ideas but were killed because they understood the Truth) of turning this country back to the way it used to be--a country of US citizens united in living one day at a time and being citizens of this country and world and caring about our fellow man/woman.
