Yep, I know I left for work yesterday, but today my boss announced that since there is less work to do, that we will be "temporarily" off for the next few days. He also said that this may happen again in the future, BUT we will not lose any of our full-time benefits. So, here I am today, tomorrow and Wednesday.
I want EVERYONE to take a DEEP breath and Calm Down. I've been reading all the posts here about Michelle Obama and her college thesis. If this is the BEST the Repubs have on her or Barack, then they are wasting their breath and our time.
I remember reading a commentary last week by Kathleen Parker, a syndicated columnist, who has a column in the San Antonio Express-News a few times per week. She is a Hillary baby, and she has let it be known that she can not stand Barack Obama. This last column she wrote was about the majority of this country wanting to elect a "full red-blooded American" as president. According to her, most people in this country want to elect someone like them, someone who has deep and long "roots" in this country. Reading between the lines, I would guess that she is talking about only the white people who came over on the Mayflower or landed in Jamestown in 1607 or those who came during the 1700s and early 1800s. Because, in reality, the people that have the deepest and longest roots in this country are the AMERICAN INDIANS, followed by the Mexican Indians. They've been in this country LONG before any white man set foot here, but, according to Parker, even if your family has been in this country longer than the Pilgrims, 'it don't mean a thing if you ain't 100% pure full-blooded'. Why not just tell the TRUTH--most whites want a white president and don't want ANYONE who is NOT 100% FULL-BLOODED WHITE. This kind of crap Parker wrote is the same crap coming from Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter, and I tell you, they make me laugh. If anyone is gullible enough to believe a word they say, well then, go ahead. But DON'T use them as an excuse why Barack Obama is not qualified to be president, because they have NO OTHER PROOF to show he is not qualified, only the excuse that he is not 100% WHITE.
I will add that anyone this November who chooses either to stay home and not vote in the presidential election OR chooses to vote for McCain ONLY BECAUSE BARACK OBAMA IS NOT 100% WHITE, they will be responsible if Barack loses and they will be 100% responsible for everything that McCain has promised he will do--from his promise to stay in Iraq until 2013 and even beyond then, his probable attack on Iran, and his continuation of the Bush tax cuts for the rich. All this will be on their heads because McCain has told EVERYONE what his plans are, so they won't be able to come back later and say 'oh, I never knew McCain was going to keep our troops in Iraq for years, I didn't know he was going to keep giving tax breaks to the rich, I didn't know he was going to finish Bush's job of bankrupting us and having Saudi Arabia and China owning most of our country because of all the TRILLIONS Bush borrowed from them to finance his invasion of Iraq'. Nope, you won't be able to do a 'do-over', so REMEMBER--be careful what you wish for. You may not want Barack Obama to be our president because of his skin color and his background, but do you HONESTLY have any other reason, any other knowledge that Barack can not handle the job of being our president? If you have any solid proof or reason of why Barack can not be president, LET US KNOW IT so we can understand why you don't think he is capable of being our president...
