Subject: I guess some people feel that if it wasn't for being a screwball for his feelings toward the Jews, Hitler was one helluva nice guy. I guess you could reject his views and still be a friend.

In reply to: You have to wonder 's message, "Let's assume McCain's "best friend" was David Duke. Would he have gotten the nomination? Of course he would have said "I reject his views" but ....." on Tue, March 18, 2008 6:15:51

This all makes perfect sense.

No matter how reprehensible someone is, you can be his friend and people should not judge YOU for choosing to be his friend.

I guess I am naive. But the views of that Pastor do upset me. I may vote for Barack Obama in a general election but I would have thought more of him had he rejected this guy's views a long time ago rather than now when he "had" to.

Obama and Clinton are both politicians first and don't anybody forget that.

I can't stand McCain but I will give him this: he has remained consistent in his views and I don't think he has the "sleaze" factor of the two Democrats.

I would have voted for Rudy Guiliani in a heartbeat.
