I was just posting over at Huffingtonpost.com about this same subject.

There are some good Republicans out there who did NOT vote for Bush's invasion of Iraq, who do NOT agree with Bush and his PNAC agenda, and who have NOT agreed with Bush's policies of shredding the US Constitution.

For the past 7+ years, all the Cabinet has been a bunch of yes-men and yes-women to Bush's delusions of royalty in his White House.

The LAST thing we need is another bunch of yes-men and yes-women under ANY administration, BUT it is a good idea for Barack Obama to know the other party's opinions and thoughts, BUT only in Minor Cabinet positions (like having Republican assistants to Democratic Cabinet members).

About attending church: Well, I was raised in a rather strict Catholic upbringing by my late parents who always wanted me to stay Catholic through my life time. But I just can't get over the Church not willing to join me and my husband in Holy Matrimony, just because I have been divorced. My first husband used me as a punching bag and has never given ONE PENNY to me or his son Chato to help us with our expenses. AND he was the one who started divorce proceedings against me. PLUS, he paid money to the Vatican so that he could marry his current wife in the Catholic Church!

As for now, I will choose not to attend services, BUT, I will not abandon my Lord Jesus--because He did not abandon me...

Mercedes

You say "it is now mathematically impossible for Hillary to win." I guess you are not Einstein. I have heard, despite the momentum, that the election is still close. You are in La La land. (NT)Hrmpph!Sun, March 02, 2008 1:40:00
