同性戀支持者及反對者均歡迎聖公宗領袖決議

聖公宗各教省主教長上週在北愛爾蘭開會後的決議，獲得支持及反對同性戀的兩方人士認同。

英國支持同性戀的組織「男女同志信徒運動」（The Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement）指出，會議的決議容許大家繼續就同性戀議題進行討論，並且肯定了美加兩地聖公會有權按自身情況作決定，而各教省主教長也承諾在未來不再越區干涉其他教省的事務。

但教內的傳統派則認為決議是他們的一項勝利，因為聖公宗主教長們決定暫時將美加兩地聖公會排除出聖公宗諮詢會議。反對同性戀的組織「聖公宗網絡」（Anglican Communion Network），其總監鄧肯（Duncan）指決議雖然確認個別教省有權自行決定省內教務，但當這些決定違反廣獲認同的教導及做法時，有關教省便要接受地位動搖的後果。

英國《每日電訊報》則對有關會議作出以下總結：主教長們是對自由派作出了「溫和但清晰的批判」。
