*leading in the Arabian 4 year old mare by a rope halter and lead, Quinten finds an empty stall and turns the mare towards the tying post. quickly tying a safety knot around the post and leaving enough slack so she doesn't feel trapped, he gets the stall ready for her. he puts in fresh, deep straw bedding and takes a red water bucket he brought with him and washes it out, then fills it with fresh water. he hangs it up and takes a feed bucket with red duct tape just below the rim that he'd also brought along. washing it out and thoroughly drying it, he fills it with fresh hay. (this is a shallow feed bucket...like the ones in Farnam 3 Day Eventing if you have it.) he makes sure that all tack fits Angel before putting them in the tack room and turning the mare into her stall. slipping Angel a horse cookie, he strokes her nose softly* Tomorrow we'll do something together, okay? *smiles and feeds her the last apple slice before leaving*
