.. she settled her legs around his barrel as he dashed off towards the jumps, and put her seat and lower back into effect . there was no way he could jump the height of those jumps at the flat speed they were going without rounding... and to round she had to get him moving from his haunches and not from his shoulders - to collect his energy . her shifted weight allowed her leg to press just behind where the girth would lie, attempting to get him to collect without bridle or saddlery, to get him to spring from his hocks and hinds . all this shifting took place in a fraction of a second as she eyed the jumps, making a 6th sense sort of judgement of what the order he'd jump them in, to be prepared for them ... and if he wanted, and still had energy after them all she'd take him over the paddock fence and they could go out on the trails or around the farm, maybe to see some wild horses ..
