the pony pins her ears at the harsh tone of her voice
she paws the ground
snorts lightly, asking for forgiveness

at the command to trot she begins
and speeds into a canter
muscles rippling with every stride
she approaches the jump
lifting off, she tucks her front legs under her body
powerful hinds spring off of the ground
she lands, and takes a few momentum strides to stop
