Subject: Not the fool anymore (PR #1)

{At the Pheonix Promotion House Show subbing for Blaze, the crowd gets up on their feet as “Wait n Bleed” hits over the PA system. Pyros boom throughout the arena and flames burst from the ringposts and up the ramp. Through the smoke at the top walks NoBody to the roar of the crowd. He raises his fists, then heads down to the ring. He steps over the ropes and calls for a mic.}

NoBody: Just a few days ago I came out here and talked about The Icon. I called that son of a bitch’s bluff, called him out for being a pussy, and I damned sure made a fool out of him. But then I get to the arena tonight and it turns out I’m the one who’s been made to look foolish. I get to the arena tonight to find out that Blaze has been cancelled, and my match with The Icon has been called off. So basically I wasted my time and my breath on that little bastard and then the company turns around and makes a fool out of me.

{Crowd boos}

NoBody: But this isn’t the first time something like this has happened to me. Uh uh! Seems to me The Pheonix Promotion enjoys toying with me. You see, we all know that I’m the best this company has to offer, and we all know that I should be champion right now. But I’m not. And why am I not the Undisputed World Champion? Because two months ago, after I crawled, battled, sweat and bled my way to the very top, Nightmare left the company. He ran home and hid behind a locked front door because he recognized just how damn great I am. So am I given the vacated title? Of course not. And I wouldn’t have wanted it that way, anyway. But instead of giving me a one-on-one match with Phenom, the powers that be throw in two nothings, Venom and The Icon, to wear me out, so that their boy, the Corporate Kiss-Ass himself, Phenom, could walk out of that fatal four-way the new Undisputed World Champion. But I was alright with that, too. He was lucky that night, but I figured I’d get my shot at Pheonix Rising, and Phenom’s luck would run out! But what happens? Phenom and those boys in the back book The Icon of all people to get that Title Shot! The Icon?! I’ve kicked the hell out of this piece of crap time and time again! So instead of walking into Pheonix Rising with my title shot, and walking out of the biggest night of the year as the NEW Undisputed World Champion, I’ve got to look foolish sitting on the sidelines watching Phenom pad his ego by kicking the hell out of an unworthy opponent. That’s what pisses me off!

{Crowd cheers}

NoBody: But I’m over all that. I’m over being made to look the fool, I’m over at being mad at this company. I’m over it all! Because I don’t give a damn anymore what the boys in the back say. That title shot belongs to me, that title itself belongs to me, and they can keep trying to embarrass, they can try again and again to keep me away from it, but I will have that title! So Venom, you’re the one standing in my way at Pheonix Rising. The way I see it, I beat you, they can’t help but give me that shot. That’s unfortuanate for you, you piece of trash, because I’m going to come at you with everything I’ve got. Every bit of talent, every last breath of power, every wave of anger, all of my wrath, everything! I’m going to leave you a broken and beaten man, and you will know then that I am not only the true Greatest of All Time, but also the D.O.N., the Domination of Now! And when I get through with you, it won’t matter who’s got the title, whether it’s that no-talent Icon or that no-ballsack Phenom, I will own the next shot at that strap, and I will finally have my title!

{With that, NoBody tosses down his mic. “Wait n Bleed” hits again and the crowd is roaring. They are on their feet cheering NoBody as he steps over the ropes and walks up the ramp, disappearing backstage.}
