Subject: Challenges

~~{ The cameras open at a Pheonix Promotion house show in East Ruthaford, New Jersey. We see KingPin, Jack Hammer and Paul Maxx all walking into the arena from the parking garage. All three men are wearing black leather trench coats. Just then a production assistant runs up to Paul Maxx }~~

PA : Mr. Maxx... It's an honor to finally meet you. But I diden't come here to get an autograph. I just wanted to give you this...

~~{ The Production Assistant hands Paul Maxx a black VHS tape }~~

PA : One of the new wrestlers K-Ron said a few choice comments about you and I figured you would want to see it... You know... Incase you want to reply to him.

~~{ Paul Maxx looks at the tape for a second }~~

Paul Maxx : (takes a deep breath) I'll look at it.

~~{ Jack Hammer, KingPin and Paul Maxx all walk to their locker room. The camera man follows them. Paul Maxx sets his bags down and puts the tape in the VCR and grabs a chair }~~

KingPin : Hey... You want us to leave man ?

Paul Maxx : It's completely up to you guys.

Jack Hammer : OK well... I got some things I have to do.. Come on... Let him watch that tape.

~~{ Both Jack Hammer and KingPin leave the locker room. Paul then starts the tape and watches the promo that K-Ron did. When it finishes he laughs to himself. He stands up and walks out of the locker room. He walks around for a bit and then finds the same production assistant }~~

Paul Maxx : Go and tell them to que my music. I'm gonna go cut my promo now.

PA : Y.... Yes Sir....

~~{ The production assistant runs to the entrance to the stage is. Paul Maxx slowly walks the same way. He walks by Phenom who is sitting on an anvil case. He stops for a moment and nods to him. Phenom nods back and Paul Maxx continues to walk towards the stage. The camera changes to inside the arena. "Plug" by The Clay People starts. The arena goes black. About a minute into the song the lights come back on and Paul Maxx is standing at the top of the stage. The fans explode into cheers. Paul Maxx stands there for a moment. He then slowly walks down to the asile towards the ring. He walks up the ring steps to the apron and gets in the ring. He then grabs a microphone from the ring announcer. The music fades }~~

Paul Maxx : It's amazing... Completely mind boggling.... I haven't been back in the Pheonix Promotion for less then a week.... And already there is a person thinking he's a worthy opponent to me opening his mouth with a trash that is spewed in my dirrection. But I will get to the new comer K-Ron in a minute.... See as you all know... I make my return to Blaze in the Main Event against The Black Flame. What a true honor it is for me to be one of the main event wrestlers on my returning match. But I guess all the accolades in the world cannot stop the mere fact that I truly am one of the big dogs in this industry. I stand at the top of the mountian with guys like Phenom, Nobody and Pheonix Masters himself. Let me tell you guys a little story.... Roughly about a year ago the inevitable happened. The Pheonix Promotion was split into two federations. We all knew it was coming. The nWo was successfuly defeated at Shockwave 2002 and a new era needed to be started. In the four months that I was in the Pheonix Promotion I not only had accumulated my fair share of title gold, but I also gained the respect and the friendship of alot of the guys.... Some are here and some are gone.... But I figured that at that time... Being the Atlantic Champion... My career could go places that I never imagined... And it did. I was drafted to the MWI and I wrestled there. I defended the Atlantic Championship and I was crowned the first ever MWI World Heavyweight Champion. I did exactly what I was susposted to do. I defended that championship every night that I could. And as I stand here before all of you I still never lost the MWI World Championship title. Black Flame.... I expect nothing less then a championship match when we wrestle at Blaze. Cause you are wrestling one of the best champions in the history of this federation. If you loose... All that is proven is that your a lackey for The Higher Powers... And that leads me to K-Ron....... You must be real crazy... Or entirly stupid. I understand that your a new guy... I understand the theory of "If you wanna go places... Go after the big fish"... Well ask your friends Nightmare and Ensign... They will both tell you that I'm not a weak link... With the expection of Phenom, I'm quite possibly one of the best wrestlers that is alive today.... But if your picking a fight... And you feel you wanna go after me... Then you've got it... And I'll wrestle you on the next Blaze...

~~{ The crowd cheers wildly and starts to chant... MAXX MAXX MAXX }~~

Paul Maxx : That's not all I came out here to say. See there's one man that is on the current roster that I have yet to wrestle. He knows exatly who he is. See we've crossed paths on a few occasions. Most of the time it was only for a brief period of time. But we did interact with eachother. So I noticed that Shockwave is coming up... I seem to remember that last year I was in the Main Event. I fought tooth and nail to distroy the nWo once and for all. Nobody believed that I was ready for that match. And after the conclusion of it... I got more respect then I ever thought possible. So with Shockwave being about a month away... I see that I'm not on the card yet.... My friend Jack Hammer is busy defending the International Title... So I'm telling all of you that right now I'm putting up the challenge for Shockwave.... But I think that this match alone is a Main Event calibur match of it's own. So my challenge is this.... In one corner you have the returning former MWI World Heavyweight Champion Paul Maxx... And in the other corner we have the returning... Former Pheonix Promotion World Heavyweight Champion.... NIGHTMARE....

~~{ The crowd goes insane over what was just said }~~

Paul Maxx : That's right... I said... Paul Maxx... Against Nightmare. For the first time ever you all will see one former Champion battle another former Champion. This match is important to me... But there are two elements that I want to wait to reveal... I want to reveal them once that I know that Nightmare has taken my challenge for a match at Shockwave. Nightmare... You have till Blaze... Think carefully... Cause I'm not a person you want to dodge.

~~{ "Plug" by The Clay People plays. Paul Maxx hands the microphone back to the ring announcer. He stands in the ring and poses for the crowd. The cameras then fade to black }~~
