Subject: Icon Promo (Dist. #3)

{A Desire-like promo packet is shown. It is a collection of every past holder of the World Title winning their match and holding their title up. Suddenly, the music in the background changes to “Wait n Bleed” and there are quick cuts from the shots of the champions winning to NoBody walking closer and closer to the camera. As he gets closer, the cuts become quicker and quicker until he is standing right in the middle of the shot. The screen goes black for a moment, and then the World Championship Belt is shown on the screen. The words “Career Killer” scrawl across the screen. The scene switches to NoBody standing in a darkened arena, only the ring lit up.}

NoBody: So you call yourself The Icon? That’s funny, boy, because I’ve been here for almost two damn years and I haven’t seen you do one thing that puts you on that level. Hell, I haven’t even seen you do one thing that even makes me think you’re worthy of being in the damn Pheonix Promotion to begin with. I don’t understand guys like you, Icon. You give yourselves names that you can’t possibly live up to. I mean, at Disturbance I walk into the ring with The Icon, The G.O.A.T., and The Phenom, but the only true Champion doesn’t have to give himself a name to boost his image. You don’t see me calling myself The Dominator or The SkullCrusher or anything like that. I don’t need a name to fight my battles for me. But you, Icon, you’ve always had something else do your fighting for you, haven’t you? First it was Nightmare, always cleaning up your mistakes, tidying up your messes, quelling any shit you started. Then it was the NWWO, you running with the pack, leeching off of their glory. But the NWWO is long gone, dead to the Pheonix Promotion, and Nightmare turned tail and ran, rather than face me. You’re on your own, Icon. You might as well change your name to Ican’t, because that’ll be your sad story from here on out. You can’t win at Disturbance, and you can’t run your mouth like you used to because you’ve got no one to back you up. So show up, don’t show up, it doesn’t make a damn bit of difference to me. You’re a piece of crap, Icon, a worthless little nothing. If I choose to end your career on Tuesday, I’d be doing you a favor.

{With that, the last light in the arena clicks off, plunging the ring into darkness.}
