Subject: That Title deserves Glory!

{At a Pheonix Promotion House Show, the night before Disturbance, a fog seeps into the arena. It settles around the ring, and builds into a thick mist at the top of the ramp. “Sweet Dreams” hits over the PA system, and a figure can be seen behind the mist. The fog parts, and Springheel Jack walks out onto the ramp. The crowd boos as he heads down to the ring. Once in the ring, he raises his hands to the ceiling, and fog pours out of his sleeves. He takes a mic from inside his coat and begins to speak.}

Springheel Jack: Vic Vegas, you must be some champion. I mean, I’m in the Pheonix Promotion for all of a month, I’ve had one match, and already I’m next in line to be champion. And I will have that belt tomorrow night, when I rip you apart at Disturbance. You see, Vic Vegas, I was a champion once. But, unlike you, I know what it means to be a champion, and what it takes to hold onto your title. You see, Vic, I came to the Promotion for one single purpose, and that is to take that title you’ve got from around your waist and give it some goddamned glory. A title such as the International Title deserves a true champion, not the pathetic excuse of a champion that you are. The International Title needs The Glorious One to bring back its luster, to once again make it a title that people will respect, and a title that people will desire. How sad is it that you’ve taken a once-great title and made it so sad that no one cares about it anymore? No one even wanted to get in the ring with you at Disturbance and challenge for that title because you’ve made it so worthless. Of course, once I take it from you, few will want to step in the ring with me and challenge me for it, either, but for a completely different reason. They won’t want to face me not because of a lack of desire for MY title, but instead because of fear. They will all fear me, and they will fear me because of what I am going to do to you tomorrow night. Vic Vegas, your championship run is over, you and I both know that. But what you may not know is that tomorrow night, at Disturbance, you’re not only losing your title, you’re wrestling in your last match ever!

{With that, “Sweet Dreams” hits again. Springheel Jack steps out of the ring, and the fog seems to follow him up the ramp as he leaves under a chorus of boos.}
