Subject: My Time Is Now




Scene Begins

(The scene opens inside Glaciers mansion where he has finished packing his things for Shockwave. He is just about to walk out of his living room when Montgomery comes chasing behind him. Glacier is wearing an England National Football World Cup T-Shirt with matching shorts. Montgomery is in his classic “Penguin” suit.)

M: Sir, Sir?

(Glacier turns back to look at his esteemed butler.)

G: Yes?

M: That was Nike on the phone. He told me that The Wisdom has made a few more comments about you and said that he’ll meet you at the airport in five minutes.

G: Okay, thanks. I’ve already seen his comments but I could use and interview. Is the limousine I ordered here yet?

M: I should think so, Sir.

G: Okay then, Montgomery, wish me luck.

M: Like you need it. The next time I see you you’ll have The Pheonix Promotion World Title around your waist.

G: Thanks. Goodbye.

(Glacier opens his front door and sees a White Stretch Limousine waiting for him. He has a Plain Black Sports bag in his right hand filled with his things. He walks up to the chauffer and waits for him to open his door. Once he does, Glacier seats himself and waves Montgomery goodbye as the chauffer closes the door. He opens his own door, seats himself and then closes it. The Limousine speeds off into the distant as Montgomery closes the door to the Glacier Mansion.
Scene Closes

(The scene reopens inside the airport. Glacier has been waiting for half an hour for his cameraman and has not heard so much as a squeak from him. The tannoy overhead calls for the final boarders of the plane to Philadelphia PA. Glacier sighs and gives his ticket in. He picks up his bag and walks through towards the plane. As the back of him disappears, Nike comes charging through the Airport puffing and panting. He sees the back of Glacier and shouts.)

N: F*CK!!!
Scene Closes

(The scene opens inside the Philadelphia PA Airport. Glacier walks out of his plane only to be barraged by various members of Sports Magazines asking for his comments on his match against Wisdom. Glacier pushes his way out and then takes out his mobile phone. He dials and then waits.)

G:Yeah…my car arrived?…half an hour?…okay…yeah…bye.

(Glacier turns off his mobile and walks out of the airpor. He puts down his Sports Bag and sits on a Steel bench nearby. After a few minutes a ravishing blonde woman walks up to him. Glacier sees an opportunity to score and strikes a conversation. The Blonde woman sits down next to Glacier.)

G: Hi, what’s your name?

E: Hi, my name’s Emma. You’re Glacier, right?

G: Yeah. The soon to be Pheonix Promotion World Champion. Are you into wrestling?

E: Yeah, actually I’m a big fan. I work for Sports Philadelphia magazine and was wondering if you’d like to do an interview with me before your match.

G: Anything, for a lady. So where do you want to do it?

E: Right here if you’d like? Then, as a thank you, I’ll let you buy me dinner.

(Glacier laughs at her joke.)

G: Sounds good to me. Have you got a camera?

E: Of course I have!

(She produces a camera similar to that of Nike. She puts her finger on record, counts down and then presses it.)

E: This is Emma Smith reporting for Sports Philadelphia. With me today is the 2002 Lord Of The Ring, Glacier, for an exclusive interview just hours before his match with The Wisdom. First of all, Glacier, how has your stay been so far in Philadelphia?

G: It has not been to bad up to now Emma. I mean considering that this place is full of dead beats and homosexual clubs!

(Emma gives him the thumbs up to show her approval. Glacier realises that this stuff is what sells the magazines.)

E: Glacier, have you seen The Wisdoms latest comments about your match?

G: Yeah.

E: And what are your thoughts?

G: Well it looks as if Wisdom has decided to come out and once again avoid the matters of insulting me or any of my esteemed co-partners. All I can say is that I’m, for once, happy to see an old-fashioned wrestler come out and compliment his opponent…not!

You see today is the day that I finally get to prove my worth and finish one quest… only to begin another. When I first came to The Pheonix Promotion I silently vowed to grasp that title. I set it as my quest and I have almost come to the end. This could be my last chance, for a very long time, to win the title because I could very well end up in the MWI. Then I would not have completed my quest and would curse myself over and over for not finishing The Wisdom and holding that title close to me. Oh yes, I will defeat you Wisdom and I will go on to a greater challenge. The challenge of being at the top and then plummeting down the ladder in a new wrestling establishment and having to claw my way back to the top. I have done it once; I’ll do it again. I will vow right here right now that I’m going to hold MWI, assuming that I go there anyway. But first things first: The Wisdom.

Yeah you showed the integrity to be expected from a man of your status. Yeah you told the world that I’m a tough SOB and have proved over and over why I’m so close to the top. That I’ve completed feats that not even the great Wisdom has. You told the world all those things and you know what? They were the hundred percent truth. There was only one thing Wisdom missed out and that was the future. Yes he spoke of my past but not my future.

I have got the honour of being the under dog in this match and I’m just as happy to be defending a title as to challenging for one. Once champion I will have the pressure on me to prove again and again why I hold the title. Why I’m the best in the world. Wisdom has defended his title twice on receiving it. Well once if you don’t include HVD’s match. He has not shown why he deserves the title and why he has it around his waist. Everyone is expecting him to pin me and walk out the champion. On the other hand, they’re expecting me to beat the hell out of him and then make some stupid mistake like a high-risk manoeuvre and throw it all away. Yeah we’ve all seen it happen in the past but I am much more cautious then that. As soon as The Wisdom lies flat on his back I’ll be on top of him putting more and more pressure on him. Wisdom, My Time Is Now!

E: Thanks a lot for that interview, Glacier, and the best of luck to both you and The Wisdom.

(She turns off the camera.)

G: So any good restaurants around here?

(Glacier offers her his arm, which she graciously accepts and holds it tight.)
