Subject: On the Qualifer Rounds (Blaze #1)

{At a house show, “Wait n Bleed” hits over the PA system and black flames shoot out of the ringposts and up the ramp. Through the smoke walks NoBody, who stands at the top of the ramp taking in the boos. He smiles, and then heads down to the ring.}

NoBody: Pheonix Masters, you played yourself right into my hands! Last Monday night, at Blaze, I came out here and demanded that the World Title be placed around my oh-so-deserving waist. Even though I truly should be champion, did I really expect you to just give me the title? Of course not. You have too much honor to do such a thing, and besides, you’re too good a businessman! I knew that you’d see the ratings in a big-money World Title match. But you outdid even me with your World Title Qualifying rounds. Pure genius, Pheonix Masters. I always thought you were smart for signing me to be the premiere wrestler in your organization, but this tournament just proves it!

{NoBody pauses and moves over to the ring ropes directly facing Smash and Rip. He stares at Smash as he talks.}

NoBody: And for all those who doubt my deserving this title, like you, Smash, I will show you all that I am the rightful champion in these next two weeks! That’s right, Smash, don’t think I didn’t hear your pathetic little words last Monday night. I am always listening, and I never forget!

{With that, NoBody tosses his mic at the announcer, causing him to make a fool out of himself ducking out of the way. He smiles and “Wait n Bleed” hits over the PA system. NoBody exits the ring and heads backstage under a chorus of boos.}

Rip: I sure wouldn’t want to be you, Smash!

Smash: The man’s just a bully!

Rip: I’d watch what you say from now on!
