Subject: Ensign, I will do you a favor (Blaze #2)

{Moments after giving his in-ring promo, NoBody is seen walking backstage. Renee runs up to him, mic in hand, and starts up an interview.}

Renee: NoBody, you had some pretty harsh words for Nightmare, but didn’t even mention your other opponent in the 3-Way Title match, Ensign Pheonix. Anything you’d like to add about him?

NoBody: Ensign Pheonix? Why should I even bother wasting a breath on him. He doesn’t deserve to be in this match. Hell, he doesn’t even deserve to be in the World Title picture at all!

Renee: Why do you say that? Ensign Pheonix is loved by the fans, and-

NoBody: That’s just it. All Ensign Pheonix has going for him are the cheers of these meaningless fans. Can cheers pick me up and slam me to the mat? Can cheers make me bleed? No, only talent and aggression can do that, things that Ensign Pheonix just doesn’t have. The man has been booked at the top of the card for too long. I thought I’d proved to everybody just how weak he was when I slaughtered him at Blaze three weeks ago, but apparently I’ll have to finish the job Monday night.

Renee: You really believe Ensign Pheonix shouldn’t be in this match?

NoBody: Just look at how he reacted to the match as opposed to how myself and Nightmare did. We both came out here, spit our poison, and then went and trained, knowing that the real battle still lies ahead. But Ensign Pheonix? First, he wins his entry round match against Jack Hammer. Jack Hammer? He’s not as good as The Icon, and he’s certainly nowhere near the level of Max Fox. But instead of thanking his lucky stars that he didn’t have to face a real opponent, he instead throws himself a party. A party?! What is he doing, celebrating the ass-kicking that he’s about to get? He has to step into the ring with me, The New Main Event! He’s already faced me once just on the new Blaze, and I beat him senseless. We used to tussle before the roster split, as well, and he’s never gotten the upperhand. Even on all those nights where he had everyone fooled, believing he was main event material and I was just part of the show, I still beat him in and out of this ring. But Monday night, we meet again in the main event, pitting the main event of old against the Master of Monday Night. Ensign Pheonix, I see you and Hellcat at all those parties you throw for yourself, and you two look happy. You really do. That’s why you should thank me, Ensign. Because this Monday night, MSG, I’m going to take you out of my Main Event and put you in a hospital bed for the rest of your life! Then you will know if that bitch really loves you. If she sticks around the feed you your meals through a straw, to wipe the drool of your chin. This Monday night, I give you the opportunity to see if Hellcat’s love for you is real, because this Monday night, I take away everything from you!

{With that, NoBody storms off down the hall, leaving a disturbed Renee in his wake.}
