Subject: The ICN

(Since my board is currently "down," I'm posting this here.)

After many months of deadness, the ASN comes back this August under a new name: The Improv Comedy Network!

In August, the long-awaited "Spell's Line in Britain" episodes finally air, along with all of the first-season episodes. Catch anything you've missed. And watch for "Pop-Up Spell's Line" at some point during the run, analyzing one of the Original Thirteen.

The fall television season starts in late September, and that's no exception for the ICN. Three new shows premiere with the dawn of the new season. The shows are:

"Lyric Roast" -- Sort of like "Pop-Up Video," except the songs themselves, not the videos, are the true stars. No genre is immune, and it is not beyond the imagination to have a rap song be followed by a country song.

"Hollywood Squares" -- A primetime edition of the popular tic-tac-toe game ... and no holds are barred.

"Balderdash" -- More details to be released as the season nears.

Hopeful contestants for both "Hollywood Squares" and "Balderdash" can contact the ICN at spell4yr@lycos.com. People can compete in both. Tapings for the most part will be Sunday nights in #idiotsite.

The ICN has taken no official stance on whether "Spell's Line" will see a second season, but its summer run will likely determine if it continues in September. (Numbers of viewers for all shows will be tracked.)

Thank you for reading this message. Expect a new website of all things spell4yr within a couple of weeks (nothing will be done this week during awayness) at http://spell4yr.tripod.com.

The Internet Comedy Network.
"I Seein' ICN."
