Well, tis a bit chilly....and they do have legit Winters, eh ?

Seriously Larry, even that time of year, the Canadian side has evolved into a Canuck mini Las Vegas year-round with several major hotels. Toronto is under an hour away ( GREAT city BTW ) and those citizens seem to flock to the Falls on weekends. There's also the charming Colonial-type village of Niagara-on-the-Lake ( up-scale shops/restaurants ) about 15 minutes north on Lake Ontario.

Now, the American side of the Falls ain't what it used to be....pretty ratty. But I understand an Indian tribe recently took over the convention center up there and opened a huge casino ( ala Connecticut ) that has spawned considerable urban renewal and boosted tourist revenue on the U.S. side. Niagara U's campus is about 5 miles north of the Falls in the town of Lewiston.

And well, as we all know, Worcester taint exactly tropical in January/February either !

And I got chastized and had a post taken down on the USCHO board (about ECAC hockey) for calling some one "crazy". I guess different boards have different standards.
