Willard was not at Coach Allen's funeral nor at graduation ceremony (Jave). Word out of Hart center is he was undergoing "tests" for an undisclosed medical concerns in New York during Coach Allen's funeral and in Worcester during graduation. Any one have insight?

Think it's time to Require Posters to Register -- HC '85, 10:23:51 06/01/04 Tue
Whether this is true or not, with this and other bogus postings, including the slanderous posting about Coach Willard that had to be removed a week or so ago, I think registration for poster's time has come.

passwords -- Voyeur, 14:13:19 06/02/04 Wed
you'll have a password, which you'll need to email approved users. when the board is in password mode, an extra field appears along with subject, name, address, and message. anyone with the password will be able to post.

Reistration restricts free expression. Do we need more dominance on this board by NKT,1843, mhmd, et al?
What is this board's mission?
You guys take yourselves too seriously.

I'll say they take themselves too seriously... checking alumni lists, defensive posts, etc., etc.. Who are these people?

Ummm... -- HC1843, 08:49:19 06/04/04 Fri
Registration does not restrict free expression, it just makes you accountable for what you say. If you want to libel someone with impunity or attack without merit, then I argue that this board should not be your vehicle.
I do not believe Crossports will identify us to the HC admin, etc. but if someone is going to say purposefully hurtful, and potentially untrue things, then the moderator should be able to block your future participation.
Maybe there is a less restrictive means for Crossports, such as blocking future posts from computer addresses from which stupidity flows rather than requiring names, which we could all change anyway.
I see no problem with blocking the idiots whose specious comments detract from this board.
Cheers.

Re: Mission of This Board -- NTKHC64, 07:10:23 06/04/04 Fri
Vin,
You don't appear in the HC online directory either. It's not a "defensive post" when you pass along knowledge that you have, that is accurate and corrects other posts that are false.
To answer "ramsey graduate" here's the mission of the board:
Welcome to CROSSPORTS, the place for Holy Cross fans to discuss Crusader sports. The moderator reserves the right to delete any inappropriate posts. Please be respectful and enjoy the board!! Lets have some fun and GO CROSS!
Discussing Crusader sports does not include making defamatory or innacurate personal statements about members of the HC athletic department. If I find they are false, I will not allow them to remain uncorrected and readable by anyone who peruse this board.

1.) Vin Gambini (my cousin vinny)
2.) Terrel Jonez (with a friggin 'Z'!!!)
Of course they're bogus! I can't believe you knuckleheads actually called the alumni office/checked an alumni list! GET A LIFE!

talk about getting a life? what kind of LOSER pretends to be an alumnus of a school, makes up bogus stories and then tells other people to get a life? The only one who needs to get a life is you.

Re: Who are these goofs, anyway? -- KY Crusader '75, 07:48:08 06/04/04 Fri
These interlopers are so goofy that they can't even make up believeable names. Perhaps they don't expect to be believed in the first place. I agree with NTK. It's one thing to lob in a controversial opinion to try to "stir the pot", it's quite another matter to state lies as facts or to start rumors. So, those lurking behind the Blumpkin, Wollansky, Gambini, and other covers should just return to their own schools' boards.

Why would one even read one of these posts anyway? It's easy enough to recognize the ones that come from these clowns.
Just ignore them and they'll get bored and go away.
