gee, what about the other previous thread where you were apparently unaware that Holy Cross even had a D-1 level hockey team -- let's not be selective in your gloating

kes -

You must have me mixed-up with someone else.

I didn't contribute anything to this archieved link back then and I've been enjoying/following HC hockey for a couple years now. Also, I can't recall making a prediction on the ECAC....maybe I did at some point but I honestly can't remember. I think I said something to the effect that I'd love to see us get accepted but only on 'our terms' vis a vis scholarships and not try and go into this just to follow the Ivies. I think you assured me that the ECAC wouldn't prohibit HC from offering schollies and directed me to that USCH.com site for info on same.

What caught my eye on this in thumbing thru the old threads was the author of some Q paper or something predicting how this would unfold. Seems in retrospect that this individual had a good slant on this....either with inside info or just plain luck/guess work.

It's the oldest ECAC thread I could find ( page 10 ). Just thought some might find it of general interest for a 'then and now' considering how this played out over the intervening 4 months and the decision/apparant reasons shocking the majority of us here.

BTW, I usually use the front door if I'd like to chat with or debate a topic with someone....rarely if ever the back door. I assure you there was no intent whatsoever to link this as a back-door slap at you or anyone else here. Frankly, it was/is my general impression that you've had the most knowledge or at least have followed this subject more closely than most here.

Rick, I was just kidding around with you with my dig -- should have been a little more artful -- sorry about that -- on the ECAC, I find it pretty depressing -- HC is a great location for hockey and could do very well given a commitment by the higher ups -- would have been nice to at least have one sport where we compete in a top league -- (although PL lacrosse is excellent) -- take care
