� everything goes wrong �

� a breeze plays on the short grass in the sales area. it wafts towards a dandilion, taking the soft seeds away with it. a black silverado and a black featherlite trailor, both with red and navy racing stripes, pull into the busy lot, parking beside a corral. Two men get out of the truck, both well dressed with matching khaki pants and navy blue polos. they go the back of the trailor, opening it slowly as not to spook the contents. they lead out a short, leggy brown colt in red shipping boots and a navy blue blanket. his black leather halter reads quality controll, emblazoned on the gold plating. one man opens the paddock gate while the other leads the horse in, loosely tying his lead line to a post in a safety knot. they both take off his blanket and shipping boots, turning him out into the paddock. they post a packet of paper on the gate, get into the truck, and drive away. the colt canters along with the truck until the fence ends, and they drive away. the colt trots over to the center of the paddock, lowers himself with a slight thud, and drops his head, exhausted. �
