Other: Ski is a wonderful race horse! It's not a large suprise that she loves to run, just look at her awesome bloodlines! Ski will be raced until retired, when she'll be used as a broodmare. Although registered grey roan, Ski is actually a very rare All-White Sabino Thoroughbred! She's homozygous for the Black/Bay gene (EE) so she will not produce chestnut foals! Another concern is the Lethal White Gene, however, she tested negative (N/N) for it!
History: Ski was first trained by Audrie Millar. Her training in racing, however, was by Andie Clemens. She made her debut early on at small track near Alberta, winning her madien race as Audrie's mount. As Audrie couldn't keep up with ATOH, Ski was given to Andie. Andie continued and expanded the filly's carrer, taking her outside of kentucy derby limits to a track called 'Follow the Quest'. There, Ski made quite the name for herself. She was sought at by many, getting more offers for her there than any given time at Kentucy Derby. When Quest had to name horse of the year, the name 'Going Big for Peteski' rang in everyone's mind. She revieved Quest's Horse of the Year for 2001, yet was nominated in both 1996 and 1997. However, she won Quest's Filly of the Year in 1996 and 1997, so it all evens out. Upon Quest's final race, the Breeder's Cup, the owner was quoted as saying "It's been a privilege and honor to see this horse run. She has gone farther than anyone could've dreamed. Secretariat, Affirmed, Mr. Prospector, Peteski, and many others included in this young mare's lines would be very proud to have her carrying their blood. She's by far the greatest this track, or any track for that matter, has ever seen..." Ski's greatest moments include winning the Breeder's Cup 2 years in a row at ATOH (Her 1st 2 racing seasons), being named Filly of the Year for 1996 and 1997, and was named Horse of the Year in 1997!
